TruHit Challenge Recap/BBG Challenge

Hello! So if you remember, in November I did the TruHit fitness challenge. In order to qualify for the challenge, you had to go to the orientation for information and the assessment test. Then you had one month of free membership. In order to qualify for a possible prize, you had to attend at least 12 classes. (Sadly, I only made 10! But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have one anyway!) You then had to attend the final assessment, which I went to anyway. Here are my results! I'm pretty pleased. However, ignore some of the measurements...they clearly didn't measure the same both times...

I feel like I killed it on the second assessment! (Push ups and sit ups are as many as you can do in 2 min. and the run is a mile.) As I continue my fitness journey, I want to do the sit ups and pushups on a regular basis to track my progress. Rather than one a month, I may do it every other month or once every three. I haven't officially decided yet.

Specialized gyms can also get pretty pricy...so I'm not going to continue going, but I am going to continue to work out! (Also, if you are in the Phoenix area, TruHit does the fit challenges regularly. I would highly suggest doing a free month if you have a chance!) Before I heard about the TruHit challenge, I started this thing called the Bikini Body Guide created by Kayla Itsines. It's a 12 week program and it's really good! The workout shouldn't take you more than 45-60 min with warm up and cool down included. Best of all, I found it online for free! Click here! (If you click that link while on your phone, you can save it to your downloads or iBooks for easy accessibility.)

She also has another guide for weeks 13-24 for purchase, and I'll more than likely be glad to purchase it once I finish the first 12 week program. The work outs are basically Mon., Wed., Fri., with low impact cardio on Tues. and Thurs., really good stretching or yoga on Saturday, and we cannot forget Sunday rest day! You can also do a lot of it at home or in a small gym. I would highly suggest checking it out. I'm starting up again the first full week of the year and I would love for you to join in! We can all motivate each other! <3

How about we make 2016 a year to better ourselves in more ways than one! Join me in this 12 week BBG challenge!

TruHIT and Herbalife Challenge!

Hey guys! Guess what.... it's challenge time! Hooray! It's time to get my butt back in shape and getting on a good nutrition plan.

This month I am doing an Herbalife (nutrition) challenge and a TruHIT (fitness) challenge! I'm totally pumped. Today was the TruHIT orientation and fitness test but I'll be starting the herbalife part tomorrow when the real workouts start.

When there is a challenge, there are also goals! (You should always have one to keep you motivated!) My goal is to GET ABS. I've always wanted to have a six pack. I'm not sure why... other than they are so cool! I think I can do it with the combination of both challenges.

For TruHIT I have to go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I plan to go M/W/F, unless I can go more. It's unlimited for the month, so why not? The fitness test wasn't too bad. Here are my results. I will post a picture of the card again, at the end of the month, with my ending fitness results.

For Herbalife, I have to have 6 meals a day, eating every 2.5-3 hours starting 30 min after I wake up. Two meals are Herbalife shakes that are pretty tasty, and then 3 snacks and a whole foods meal. The snacks must consist of a protein, carb and a fat. Nighttime snack can only be protein. Yesterday was grocery shopping day (since I don't buy things and go to the store on Sundays). Today is meal prep day! I made chicken in the crockpot with taco seasoning that I shredded and portioned into 7 baggies of 4oz. I also purchased blackberries and raspberries and made a few portioned baggies of 1 cup. I also got Oikos triple zero yogurt for my protein and apples, peanut butter, almond butter, almonds, PB2 for my smoothies, old fashioned oats, avocados, and a few other goodies. I can't eat anything in a cardboard box that expires and I have to portion out everything! It's going to be interesting but let's see how it goes!

That's not all of my preppage, but it looks pretty dang good! During meal prep, you are basically prepping for the week, which makes it much easier than prepping daily.

I have to "weigh in" with my coach every Monday with pictures so she can see my progress and if anything needs to be adjusted.

I'm excited to see how this goes! Especially with both of these challenges together. Remember, it's 80% nutrition and 20% fitness! I hope you join me on this journey and I hope you reach your fitness goals too! Let's get ready for a healthy and fit 2016! (In two months, I know, but still!!)

I'll keep you posted on what's going on throughout this month, so stay tuned!

What are your fitness and health goals?? Let's encourage and support one another so we can all be champions!
